ZPN is the first to manufacture and implement technology that has been designed specifically exclusively to be Open Charge Point Protocol (OCPP) 2.0.1 compliant, globally leading the way in the EV market, with results confirmed as Plugfest. The OCPP 2.0.1 update consists of more intelligent charging functions, compliance to ISO 15118, delivers new and improved functionality and includes enhanced security features, creating a seamless charging experience for the end-user.

Plugfest, the global virtual marathon for testing EV charging stations (CS) and charging station management systems (CSMS), pitted different technologies against each other in a round-the-clock test over three days from 27-29 October. A total of 33 teams from 30 companies took part in the event from 17 countries around the world.

The performance of ZPNs CSMS was second to none. This test is further validation that ZPN’s software and technology outperform global counterparts in several areas. During the event, ZPN were informed of the CSMS was the best they have seen to date.

The use of ZPNs patented ring topology for network and battery sharing, alongside a system with technology designed explicitly for OCPP 2.0.1 is a significant indicator of how ZPN is transforming the EV market. The technology adopted is significantly ahead of the marketplace. Since ZPN is the only provider that has designed a system with OCPP 2.0.1 embedded into the technology, ZPN can confidently say the solution is fit for the future.
