At a recent event held at Silverstone, ZPN Energy demonstrated the future of high performance, off grid EV charging. Using our Drop® unit and ZAPME technology, we powered three Audi RS e-trons delivering over 400kW of rapid charge without touching the grid.
Revolutionising Charging
ZPN Energy partnered with Audi to deliver a completely off grid charging solution for the RS e-tron lineup. The challenge: maintain continuous ultra rapid charging performance across multiple vehicles in a remote environment with no grid connection available.
Our Drop® system, combined with ZAPME’s mobile charging technology, achieved exactly that. By intelligently managing stored energy through our proprietary platform, the system delivered consistent high power output throughout the event, meeting Audi’s demanding requirements for real world performance and reliability.

A Day of Pure Electric Performance

The event brought together Audi’s RS e-tron range for a full day of high performance electric demonstrations. ZPN Energy deployed its DRP unit and Zapme mobile charging system to deliver seamless, grid free charging throughout the showcase.
From early morning vehicle prep to afternoon test drives, the DRP maintained continuous ultra rapid power delivery. At peak demand during the lunchtime turnaround, three Audi RS e-trons were charging simultaneously at 120kW, with a fourth connected at 50kW.
By the afternoon, every vehicle was charged to 100%, ready for media sessions and live demonstrations. The day stood as proof of how ZPN’s off grid technology can meet the demands of modern EV performance without compromise, cables or grid connection.
